Enlightenment - God Realization

Realizing that perhaps we have no idea of what God is, or is not, is as good a place as any to begin.  It may be the only place to begin.  People are not normally comfortable being open about the doubts and fears harbored concerning things pertaining to the word God.  There is the fear of exposure; the fear that, should another know of the deep-seated thoughts and beliefs entertained, we may be viewed with suspicious eyes.   This is not at all uncommon.

Even so, it may be that in order to come to an understanding of an Absolute (in this case the concept of God,) we must first begin a process of "unlearning" ... a process that strips away, rather than adds to, the ignorance and illusions that we unknowingly hold.

The finite mind cannot comprehend that which is infinite, nor can it know that which is unknowable.  The mind, which is limited, cannot understand the unlimited.  There is a great similarity between truely "Awakening" and the movie "The Matrix."  God-Realization -- Enlightenment -- Awakening -- Christ Consciousness (the terms meaning the same thing) cannot be taught, nor can the ego experience the Reality of the Reality that these terms represent.

Reality is the Eternal, and is not the domain of the transient ego-mind.  The ego (thought) as strange as it my seem, rather than being something to depend on, and something key in one's search for the Beginningless, is the very mechanism that must be understood in order to be undone.  The dream must end ... only then does the simplicy of Reality become manifest as One without a second.
